Hibiscus (Aloalo)
The Hibiscus is the official state flower of Hawaii. In the spring, you can see a variety of yellow, red and pink hibiscus flowers bloom all over the Hawaiian islands. The vivid colors of the hibiscus symbolize delicate beauty and sunshine. Traditionally, Native Hawaiian women who wear the flower behind the right ear are single and women who wear the flower behind the left ear are in a relationship.
